I’ve been getting lots of “buzz” from my patients. My patient is a 60-year-old woman with OCD, and her husband is on a medication called Seroquel. I just received a package insert for Seroquel for the patient. She is not on any other medication. She is also taking a different medication that is also known as the "off-label” or "generic" medication. She has had multiple panic attacks, and the medication she was on is called Seroquel XR. The medication she was on for me was called quetiapine, but she also has been on it for the past few months. She has been taking it for 6 months now and she still doesn’t feel much better. I had to stop her on a daily basis because she was having more severe anxiety. I’ve also been trying to quit her on the Seroquel she is taking for her anxiety disorder. She has not been getting any relief and she has not been able to get enough sleep. I know there are some patients who can’t even quit their depression medication. I’m not going to put anything in front of them, and I’ll probably be seeing a psychiatrist. I would rather not have to go back to being on medication, and then see a psychiatrist for the time being. I know the patient and her husband are not going to have any of that.
I’m really curious how many people are taking this medication. Is it safe to be taking it on a regular basis?
I’m sure many people are not taking this medication. I do not think they should be. I believe that it is safe to be taking it for a long time without a doctor’s prescription. I would be very hesitant to stop taking it. I don’t want to be afraid of something terrible that I don’t want to put my wife’s life in danger.
It is so important to me that people stay well-informed about this medication. I’m sure you are not going to take this medication and make it a habit to take it for long.
